Update: Crosby on ice with Penguins teammates Friday, leaves early

Penguins captain and top center Sidney Crosby took part in Day 2 of training camp, but left early.

Here’s the update from the Tribune-Review’s Josh Yohe:

Sidney Crosby is alive and well, joining his teammates on the ice this morning.

Crosby left the workout early, though that may have been the plan all along. Looked fine.

Crosby, who had been dealing with wrist issues during the offseason, missed Thursday’s activities as a precaution.

According to Sportsnet hockey reporter Chris Johnston, Crosby suffered the injury, which held him out Thursday, during an informal skate on Tuesday.
