Drouin, Gibson, and Kuznetsov head list of top 60 prospects

jerseydrouingetty

Some great debate material here, where NHL.com has listed its top 60 prospects heading into the 2014-15 season (players must have Calder Trophy eligibility).

Three anonymous NHL scouts were enlisted to help create the list, which is headed by Tampa Bay forward Jonathan Drouin, followed by Anaheim goalie John Gibson and Washington forward Evgeny Kuznetsov in the second and third spots, respectively.

Of note:

--- The Lightning had two prospects in the top 10, with Drouin at No. 1 and goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy coming in at No. 7.

--- The Sabres had two highly ranked prospects as well, with forward Sam Reinhart at No. 4 and d-man Nikita Zadorov at No. 11.

--- Four Red Wings cracked the top 60 (Anthony Mantha at No. 10, Calle Jarnkrok at No. 36, Dylan Larkin at No. 41, and Teemu Pulkkinen at No. 60.) (Correction: Jarnkrok is a Predator, not a Red Wing. Whoops, forgot.)

--- No New Jersey or Colorado prospects made the list.
