Report: Devils sign Pelley, add depth

The New Jersey Devils added depth for their American Hockey League affiliate in Albany this week.

According to Tom Gulitti of The Bergen Record, the Devils have signed veteran center Rod Pelley to a one-year, two-way contract. Pelley spent last season with Albany where he scored 13 goals and 20 points in 74 games.

Center Rod Pelley, Albany’s captain last season, will be back with Devils organization in 2014-15 on 2-way contract.

The 29-year-old last played in the NHL with the Anaheim Ducks during the 2011-12 season where he scored two goals and three points in 45 games.Additionally, Gulitti reports New Jersey has signed restricted free agent forward David Wohlberg to an AHL deal with Albany.

RFA forward David Wohlberg signed AHL deal with Devils. RFA forward Harris Pesonen signed with Luasanne in Switzerland.

Wohlberg, a 24-year-old center, has spent the past three seasons in the AHL with the Devils scoring 10 goals and 22 points in 104 games.
