The New York Rangers have announced that Ryan Bourque has agreed to a contract extension.

Bourque was a restricted free agent after completing his entry-level contract. The 23-year-old forward had 21 goals and 37 points in 74 AHL games last season.

He’s the son of Hall of Famer Ray Bourque and his brother, Chris Bourque, is also a member of the Rangers organization after signing with them over the summer. Chris, 28, split the 2013-14 campaign between the KHL and Swiss league and has participated in 51 career NHL games.

Ryan Bourque was selected with the 80th overall pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
