Photo: Joffrey Lupul chats with Jack White

Jul 31, 2014, 9:00 PM EDT

Musician Jack White’s visage has been popping up in sports scenarios quite a bit lately, mostly looking strangely unhappy during MLB events. The Toronto Maple Leafs added some hockey oddness to this trend on Thursday, however, as you see from this seemingly unlikely shot of White chatting with winger Joffrey Lupul before a concert:

It’s probably more fun to imagine what they’re discussing than it would be to find out what they were actually talking about. Feel free to fill the hockey-free void by guessing what they were discussing (and whether that’s a grin of genuine amusement or mere awkwardness on White’s face).

Here’s one guess:

They probably weren’t chatting about Corsi.

Check out another photo of the two:

Maybe Jack White is giving him some hell since White was born in Detroit? Just a guess but hopefully that’s the case.. give em’ hell Jack. LGRW

Apparently Lupul is a hipster during the offseason

    Love Jack White, amazing musician.

White is asking Lupul why Leafs’ fans don’t sing “Seven Nation Army.” Lupul responds that, considering the Leafs’ play, there’s never been a reason to. AWKWARD!!

P.S. Agree, sjsharks66. Love Jack White. Did you see him in “It Might Get Loud?” Terrific movie.

I saw Jack White in Detroit on Monday. There is not anther musician as of now that has that kind of skill with his amount of passion. He blew the roof off the venue and played for three hours. Truly a great scenario to see hockey and Jack White collide.
