Doughty gives Kopitar competition in dog + Stanley Cup category

Jul 26, 2014, 3:15 PM EDT

Los Angeles Kings star center Anze Kopitar might still take the cake (or cereal) for adorable day with the Stanley Cup photos that involve dogs – seriously, a doggie Stanley Cup food bowl? – but Drew Doughty gave him a little competition in that area on Friday.

Quick warning: his tweet features marginally saucy language, so shield young eyes by just showing the photo here if need be:

In case you’re hoping for photos of said 24-year-old partying, the best you’re going to get is Doughty taking the Stanley Cup to a golf course and the beach:

Anyway, let’s ponder this all-important question: which pooch and player combo is more potent, Doughty + Reggie or Kopitar + Gustl?

(Count one vote for Kopitar + Gustl, although Doughty could complicate things if he found a similar Stanley Cup-inspired bowl for his pup …)

No wrong answer, but the right answer is Shaggy Dogitar.

Mr Obrien must not be familiar with the language that is acceptable among athletes and their fans. Brown throws out an F Bomb live on national tv while being interviewed after winning the cup in 2012. Quick follows that up with 2 or 3 F Bombs during the parade celebration in front of fans of every age, and then the mayor decides if winners use that kind of language, throwing out another F Bomb during the 2014 parade celebration just might get him re-elected. If they can read lips, they would have seen Peter DeBoer calling the ref a F’ing cok sucker when he called Bernier for a major penalty in game 6 in 2012. The other day I saw when Ryan Smith played his last game in the NHL. The cameras were in the locker room and there was a kid about 10 years old sitting next to Smith as he dressed for his last game. I assume it was his son. Just before they went out to the ice, Smith says to his teammates “Let’s go kick some F’ing ass tonight”. So, I’m pretty sure no parents care that Doughty used the word “ass”, and I know for sure their kids have heard far worse.

One more comment. The media guides list Doughty at 213 pounds. If he’s 213 pounds then I’m a 400 pound Sumo Wrestler.

Strong leg, core and abdominal muscles can add a good amount of weight while not making you look super bulky.

Meant to say back and abdominal muscles.. it’s too early lol :/

      hey fatso !

here’s a little secret for you … muscle mass is ’10 x heavier’ than fat tissue …

Don’t listen to blomfeld. He’s mentally disturbed. In truth: muscle is 10 x DENSER than fat; not heavier.

I love both Doughty and Kopitar; but, the Kopi – Gustl photo is the winner. Too cute!

      I am here friend …

      DECENCY = THE LA KINGS !!! :) :) :)

Friends, as an ardent, sexy and ‘values-driven’ supporter of the SC Champion LA Kings, this story leaves my eyes positively ‘moist’ with tears of joy ! Yes sir, because not only are we Kings the ‘best’ in the business in terms of hockey, but as well we ‘rock’ when it comes to decency, compassion and doing the ‘right’ thing in life ! The bottom line is that we are ‘all’ God’s creatures and therefore it behooves us to always act in a ‘kindly’ fashion towards our fellow life forms, be they two-legged, four legged or whatever. These recent acts of ‘kindly’ behavior by comrades Doughty and Kopitar towards their four-legged friends are excellent examples of how one ‘ought’ to behave when interacting with various life forms. I’ll confess to you people by saying that apart from the fact that we LA Kings are a ‘free & democratic’ movement, one of the things that I really admire about our cause is our collective notion of ‘decency’ and always doing the ‘right’ thing …

      GO ANIMALS !!!!

The correct choice is always the Beagle

  9. purpleguy - Jul 27, 2014 at 1:47 PM

Dogitar is certainly in better shape than that beagle.
