The Winnipeg Jets have signed Mathieu Perreault to a three-year, $9 million contract.

Perreault joins the Jets after the Ducks decided not to qualify the 26-year-old, despite the fact he finished with 43 points in 69 games for the Ducks last season.

In Winnipeg, Perreault will replace veteran Olli Jokinen while joining centers Bryan Little and Mark Scheifele.

How has no one commented on this yet

I consider this to be the best value signing of all UFA’s today other than Vanek clearly taking a huge discount to play in MN

Matty P is a really good forward. The guy plays with so much energy and is definitely a spark. He is sorely missed in DC where he obviously wasn’t appreciated for all he contributed. Hope he does well in Peg and hope the fans appreciate what he brings to the ice. Wish the Caps had tried to sign him again. The Ducks and DC made a mistake in letting him go.
