You know the cliche – a picture is worth a thousand words. One word to describe the L.A. Kings: Champs.

The Kings celebrated their second Stanley Cup championship in three years with a parade and rally inside the Staples Center on Monday. There were speeches, including one involving some colorful language, and upwards of 300,000 people lining the streets, according to

Not God willing. It all comes down to the team’s effort. Citing divine intervention as reason for success is ridiculous.

300,000 bandwagon fans in a non-hockey town, right? Oh, I know, when they heard there was a “Kings Parade” they all thought Michael Jackson had risen from the dead. No? British Royalty baby visit? Mistaking it for a casting call for extras in the next Biblical blockbuster? Or just out-of-town tourists trying to get to the beach, but stuck in traffic?

Congrats to the Kings for winning the Cup. Kudos to the fans for proving L.A. is indeed a hockey town and home to Lord Stanley for another year (with nary a riot in sight).

LOL 300 000 fans is NOT a lot for a parade , Chicago had like a 1 million few years ago(don’t know last year)

even a small city in canada like edmonton would have more than that.

depending on your definition of “Hockey Town” this to me shows L.A is not a hockey town. go to canada (MTL,TOR) during the playoffs, you will see what a “hockey town” is.
