Video: Brassard scores in return from injury

May 25, 2014, 10:07 PM EDT

Montreal Canadiens goalie Dustin Tokarski might be unusually aggressive, but that boldness may help explain some of his brilliant saves in Game 4. The New York Rangers have been able to beat him twice on breakaways, including Derick Brassard‘s booming shot off of a breakaway:

Wow. The Rangers caught the moment, so you can get an idea of the resounding Brassard slapper:

Maybe Brassard’s the one who should be giving out a “free pass” or two, huh?

Carl Hagelin also beat Tokarski on a breakaway:

Brassard must have been watching old shootout highlights of Brendan Shannahan…on a breakaway, 6 feet away from the net, do you deke the goalie? Nope…You wind up and blast a Slapshot as hard as you possibly can.
    Well played Brassard, well played

Why are these articles so late?

Looks the rangers strategy is to take out/injure the goalie

Third period, time for 8 on 6 hockey. Gotta love the WWE/NBA officiating in favor of the Canadiens.

Tell me about it. The Canadian National Dive Team is playing hockey tonight, and team zebra is obviously a huge fan…..

Rangers are choking big time. How many goals have they missed?

They should have won this game after 3 periods easily. St. Louis is choking.

Guess the Rangers don’t need any, then, huh? But the Habs are gonna come up with a few.
