Video: Lucic’s actions ‘despicable, unacceptable’

May 16, 2014, 11:22 PM EDT

It’s still up for discussion, the incident involving Boston Bruins’ power forward Milan Lucic in the handshake line at the conclusion of Wednesday’s Game 7, won by the Montreal Canadiens.

      • rje49 - May 17, 2014 at 9:03 AM

But the media (like this) is keeping it going.

  2. elmerbrownelmerbrown - May 16, 2014 at 11:25 PM

    Thats because Lucic is gay

    • elmerbrownelmerbrown - May 16, 2014 at 11:26 PM

I am in no way saying what he did was acceptable or what he said was okay…but I do know how adrenaline and after a loss can get to a person. “The moment” clearly got to him

    • alliceishome - May 17, 2014 at 12:13 AM

That might be a valid point, if it weren’t for the fact that two days later he said that he wasn’t sorry for having said it, and didn’t acknowledge that it was clearly over the line.

      • qwerty007qwerty007 - May 17, 2014 at 5:22 AM

Here’s the question you have to ask:

IF Boston would have scored two goals late, tied the game and then won it in overtime, does Lucic go down the line – shake hands and say “Nice game” or does he still threaten Weise and Emelin?

I think all of us know the answer…

  5. Professor Fate - May 16, 2014 at 11:34 PM

Milan Ducic is yesterday’s news. His team lost and he looked like an ass with no class. Much rather focus on the conference finals.

    • elmerbrownelmerbrown - May 16, 2014 at 11:36 PM

I would love to beat the breaks off him !

    • mangoman1966 - May 17, 2014 at 10:39 AM

I would never want him.on my team. He seems too.Hernandez esque

      • thesportsjudge - May 17, 2014 at 11:38 AM

So your last name is Hernandez?

  6. elmerbrownelmerbrown - May 16, 2014 at 11:40 PM

I would love to break his big nose

    • rje49 - May 17, 2014 at 8:50 AM

We would love it if we never heard from you ever again. Idiot.

    • thesportsjudge - May 17, 2014 at 11:34 AM

How? He would have to find whatever closet you are hiding in.

    • rrsm53 - May 19, 2014 at 10:02 AM

go crawl back under your rock troll. We all know you only beat one thing and it is making your dumber.

  7. gorilla2nine - May 16, 2014 at 11:45 PM

Am I the only person who thinks the handshake line is dumb?
I’m afraid we (fans) look like fools for complaining about the class and decorum of twenty somethings.
I’m also thinking Lucics handshake comments are the biggest impact he had in the series. Give or take a nut.

    • Professor Fate - May 16, 2014 at 11:56 PM

Kings/Ducks handshake line was all class despite the rivalry. Kings even hung around to salute Teemu Selanne. There’s nothing wrong with the tradition, just that some players are poor losers.

    • qwerty007qwerty007 - May 17, 2014 at 5:24 AM

Yes – you and the other thumbs up are the only ones…

  8. muckleflugga - May 16, 2014 at 11:46 PM

here’s some chick licking two-day-old gravy off milan’s face … mmmmmmmmmmm, crusty chips and gravy, irresistible

    • c9castine - May 17, 2014 at 12:23 AM

      cory snyder. what a loser.

btw, i did enjoy the part about cory snyder’s girlfriend fingering her…whoever that is. i want video.

      • mangoman1966 - May 17, 2014 at 10:46 AM

Isnt that a felony. I would like to see the video just yo.determine if a crime of passion occured

  9. elmerbrownelmerbrown - May 16, 2014 at 11:48 PM

He cant skate and he is not tuff he looks like a total debag getting around the rink

    • c9castine - May 17, 2014 at 12:24 AM

looks like a big meat head.

like that cartoon character neanderthal that drags around a big club and has broodish eyebrows and a huge nose.

      • elmerbrownelmerbrown - May 17, 2014 at 7:30 AM

        your so right

      • rje49 - May 17, 2014 at 8:56 AM

Now you’re sounding childish. Grow up.

      • c9castine - May 17, 2014 at 11:14 PM

        first of all, no.

second, maybe if he didnt pound his chest and flex his arms for people, ironically childish acts, he wouldnt be the subject of humor as is.

  10. dubblelznhell - May 16, 2014 at 11:51 PM

Lol. PK’s looking at Lucic like, “Look at me! Look at who’s moving on”

  11. novajoemicmac - May 16, 2014 at 11:52 PM

If he would just change his name to Meathead Lucic then this would just resolve itself.

  12. paperkid96 - May 16, 2014 at 11:59 PM

Did Sean Avery get a botched nose job and put on a Bruins sweater?

  13. jpat2424 - May 17, 2014 at 12:09 AM

    Lucic is a scumbag.

    • rje49 - May 17, 2014 at 8:58 AM

Ah, name calling. Now we’re cooking! This has sure brought out the worst idiocy in you people.

      • c9castine - May 17, 2014 at 11:14 PM

you decry name calling, and then call everybody idiots.

        smart guy.

  14. avfanforlife - May 17, 2014 at 12:52 AM

Lucic watched the Kings stick around and tap their sticks on the ice for Selanne. He didn’t understand what they were doing.

  15. luvusa1 - May 17, 2014 at 12:54 AM

@elmerbrown: take you sorry bigoted ass and just go away…what a loser

  16. jovocop2112 - May 17, 2014 at 1:11 AM

Wrong time for him to publish an anti-bullying children’s book, thats for sure

  17. muckleflugga - May 17, 2014 at 1:12 AM

what the hell, let lucic and weise settle-up next season

even weise is trying to distance himself from what was actually said, though i’m pretty sure he did say he’d been threatened … imagine, playing nhl hockey and being threatened

for those of you who think shaking hands after a series is through is all about honour and wiping the slate clean, check this out

this score with lemieux was settled the following season as i recall, can you spell turtle

  18. muckleflugga - May 17, 2014 at 1:18 AM

it would seem lucic’s feeling better about himself, splashing out on some new wheels … like milan, the lights are on but nobody’s home

  19. bills4 - May 17, 2014 at 1:21 AM

The conference finals are going to be soooo boring between the weak Rangers and hapless Habs that I can see this Lucic controversy going on all throughout the series. People will need something to talk about. I mean, how many shot blocks can we really talk about.

Possibly the weakest conference final in decades! Two teams looking to be LA or Chicago’s dinner!!

  20. canada2014gold - May 17, 2014 at 1:38 AM

Lucic is a clown, no class. He’s a good enough player too, just a poor loser. I think Bruins brass is getting tired of explaining him and Marchand. Just shut up and let your play do the talking. If you loose, loose like a man. He’s a punk, window closing fast and the cap is closing in on this team. Plus everyone knows how to beat them now.

  21. mackattack29 - May 17, 2014 at 2:08 AM

Let’s just move on… I’m sure Lucic is loving the attention. We all now know to what extent he is a gigantic a-hole. I’m done caring about it lol. Just let the Bruins go off into obscurity on a golf course. Hopefully anyone golfing with lucic will bring a cup, you never know when lucic will strike next. Haha

  22. drewsylvania - May 17, 2014 at 10:16 AM

    Naked trolling by OP.

  23. nhstateline - May 17, 2014 at 10:33 AM

actual Milan Lucic is a very different guy from the on ice Milan Lucic. He’s very smart, polite and engaging. That to me is the saddest part of what he did here. It’s not who the guy really is most of the time. With Marchand, on the other hand, what you see pretty much is what you get

  24. icrew29 - May 18, 2014 at 8:45 AM

What Lucic did was an embarrassment to the players of the NHL. I after 50 plus years of watching hockey, players will handle this when the opportunity presents it self. They will put a price on Lucic’s head. Someone will whip his butt for his actions. Chara has one coming also, the only way he could stop John Scott was to whack him in the nose with his stick when Scott was going after Lucic. Chara is really good with his slashing but anybody can swing a stick, look out Chara some wood is on its way.
