St. Louis will play for Rangers tonight

May 9, 2014, 5:18 PM EDT

Rangers forward Martin St. Louis will be in the lineup for tonight’s elimination game against the Penguins, the club has confirmed.

St. Louis, who’s mother, France, passed away last night, went to Montreal to be with his family on Thursday but has since rejoined the club, per head coach Alain Vigneault.

The Rangers head into tonight’s game down 3-1 in the series, dropping three straight after taking the opener at Consol. St. Louis has two goals and six points through 11 postseason games, and is averaging 19:30 TOI.

She’d want him to play. I’m sure she’s been his bigger cheer leader over the past 33 years or so. Go Marty go!

If there is any guy on the Rangers I’d like to see score tonight, it would be Marty.

He is definitely going to score tonight, sorry pens fans, looks like you’ll have to play game 6 at MSG.
