Shaw still out, Leddy expected back after Game 3 scratch

From our friends at CSN Chicago:

Andrew Shaw is out but Nick Leddy should return to the lineup when the Chicago Blackhawks take on the Minnesota in Game 4 of their second-round series on Friday night.

Shaw suffered an apparent right-leg injury in Game 1 of this series. He was seen leaving the United Center on Thursday still favoring that right leg.

Leddy was a surprise scratch in Game 3 vs. the Wild. Quenneville said he wants Leddy to have more pace to his game and added the young defenseman will play in Game 4.

It was originally hoped that Shaw could play Game 4, but apparently not.

“Blackhawks meet the Wild tonight in Minny.”

They moved the game up a day? Awesome!

Dammit. I was distracted by the Leafs’ conference call.

If 670’s reports of today’s practice are true and nothing changes, it sounds like Bollig and Morin are in, Versteeg is out tomorrow.

Two out of three ain’t bad.

      Glad Morin’s in

Hope he gets a couple points, plays well defensively and gets more confidence in him from the coaching staff.

This tells me Coach Stache wants to play the up tempo game tomorrow night and wants to force the action.

Versteeg sucks. If he sees the ice at all for the rest of the playoffs, he has pictures of Rocky holding a non Wirtz distributed beverage…….

Yeah, I’m fine with Versteeg being done for the year.

Leddy shouldn’t have sat in game three. Wonder if the Wild will suit up Bridgewater as Bryz’s back-up in goal.
