It’s only Game 1 of the second round, but Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf has already experienced his fair share of playoff pain. He missed time against the Dallas Stars and needed to temporarily wear a face shield and shook off what looked like an irksome blocked shot to notch an assist in the first period against the Los Angeles Kings.

He didn’t even leave the bench and made some big plays fighting through the discomfort. The standout moment came when Getzlaf set up Matt Beleskey’s tally:
