Video: Ducks need their leaders to step up against Kings

May 3, 2014, 1:51 AM EDT

If the Anaheim Ducks are to earn a berth in the Western Conference final, they’ll need their leaders to guide them there. Certainly, the leadership group in Anaheim, including Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, prevailed in the first round, but that’s going to have to continue against the L.A. Kings, who are coming off a historic first-round series win of their own.

*** earlier today out on the great plain ***

Blomfeather: have all of Thornton’s soldiers been silenced ?

Ten Bears: yes brother, their tongues have all been removed …

    Blomfeather: that is good …

Crazy Dog: well who in the hell are these idiots coming at us now ?

Ten Bears: they call themselves the ‘Ducks’ or something ? … they are also our enemy !

Blomfeather: let us move forward and remove their tongues, just as we did to Thornton’s soldiers …

Crazy Dog: oh man, are these mo-effers ever gonna ‘get it’ from us !

The Ducks may have gone 1-3-1 against the Kings during the regular season, but that was the regular season and these are they playoff Kings they’re about to face!

The Ducks didn’t need any of their stars during the last 5 spectacular game minutes of their last elimination game. If any of these two teams need their stars to step up, it is the Kings. Their role players haven’t done much at all this year.

      That’s the spirit Charles !!!

thanks for your ‘excellent’ statistics man, though I suspect you’re being a little too gracious with these people eh ? … I say Kings in 3 !!! :)

Charlie, you were out first captain but you suck at stats. Ducks went 4-0-1 against the Kings this year. Including a domination under the stars at Chavez Ravine. Ducks in 5

Blomfeld, wakey wakey. You might want to know what you speak of before typing.

There isnt anything worse than a five line article followed by a video. Writers be sooooooooooooo lazy today. I take it this site is more a blog than guys that are actual sports writers.
