Video: PHT Extra — What if the Sharks lose?

Apr 29, 2014, 5:44 PM EST

Are we shocked the Kings have rallied from an 0-3 deficit to force Game 7 in San Jose on Wednesday? Not really, for reasons Brough pointed out here. But nobody likes to read, so watch the video:

  1. bigtganks - Apr 29, 2014 at 5:51 PM

Coach TM will keep saying they were cheated on the game 6 second goal… Then be fired.

  2. nightfireop - Apr 29, 2014 at 5:54 PM

OMG! stop counting out the sharks for heaven’s sake! it’s still anybody’s series..please!

whoever wants it more tmrw will win the series, plain and simple!

    • lordfletcher - Apr 29, 2014 at 10:24 PM

      OMG!!!

You’re taking this series being tied too lightly.

The San Jose Blues suck in the playoffs. Simple. Character fail

      • nothanksimdriving123 - Apr 29, 2014 at 10:50 PM

FWIW, I think the last team to win the first 3 and drop the next 4 came back the next year and won the Cup.

    • paulerhythm - Apr 29, 2014 at 10:41 PM

Maybe but, there’s more to it. Who has the better goalie? Who is playing defense? Who has the poise to step up to adversity? Answer those questions and then tell me who has the want and will to win this series!

  3. kingsfan93 - Apr 29, 2014 at 5:55 PM

    T. McLellan will find another excuse if the Sharks lose the game, just like game 6.

  4. sjsharks66 - Apr 29, 2014 at 5:58 PM

Fire Tmac (would not mind Laviolette behind the teal bench..) , let Boyle walk, possibly try and trade Couture for a top 4 dman to replace boyle and ditch Niemi. There are a lot of things wrong with the Sharks but there is also a lot of good too. It’s really hard to pin point the exact problem they have. As a very passionate fan it is very frustrating to watch them figure out the problem.

    • sjsharks86 - Apr 29, 2014 at 6:18 PM

Trade Couture for a Dman? I generally agree with you 66 but that is insane, Couture isn’t going anywhere, nor should he. There are kids in Worcester coming up that can fill in the gaps on the blue line, we have 2 solid D in Vlasic & Braun already, and if we buyout Havlat this summer we’ll have another 5 mil in cap space to pick someone up, not to mention the fact that he have other assets that teams would be interested in that aren’t as valuable to us as Couture. Also Laviolette will probably be the bench boss of the Caps next year so that’s not gonna happen.

      • lordfletcher - Apr 29, 2014 at 10:29 PM

If the Sharks trade their best player in Couture I hope my Wild swoop in. Take Koivu and Brodin.

No way sharks move a point per game young center tho. Doesnt make sense

    • sjsharks66 - Apr 29, 2014 at 11:33 PM

I would argue that Pavelski is currently the Sharks best player. Couture is what he is. I agree that he is valuable but the Sharks can score. If they can’t fix the Niemi downfall they need a stacked defense.

  5. letsgocaps88 - Apr 29, 2014 at 6:06 PM

Don’t worry sharks fans, i know your pain.. Have a stacked team and no cup.

    • lordfletcher - Apr 29, 2014 at 10:30 PM

Ha. You said “team” and cheer for the caps. You have guys two players. Hardly a playoff team

  6. wishingtonredslur - Apr 29, 2014 at 6:17 PM

I like to read and your videos totally mess with the mobile app. You know what I think, I think it is more that you don’t like to spell.

  7. rocket1988 - Apr 29, 2014 at 6:34 PM

Hey sis 66, Matt Greene is an UFA maybe you pick him up? Loser

  8. sjsharks66 - Apr 29, 2014 at 6:42 PM

86, the only reason I say that about Couture is because this looks like the best he is going to get. I know a lot of teams have interest in him as well. Just a suggestion of course. I wouldn’t mind keeping him if they buy out Havlat and get a top 4 d. I actually forgot all about buying Havlat out. I would like to change my list and make that number 1!

Rocket… If the Kings don’t sign Greene he will probably end up on Edm again. Possibly a team like Buffalo. You catch my drift? He is valuable but not on high caliber teams like….like….the Kings…. He is a good fit for a team looking for a veteran dman. Plus he seems to be getting injured quiet a bit.. Unless last season and this current season he has been a healthy scratch?

  9. bigbadbruins77 - Apr 29, 2014 at 6:52 PM

Trade jumbo joe. We did for the same reason :) okay sort of kidding, I really like joe. He’s a warrior and a heck of a person. but for all the years they have been good and choked you should look at the leadership.

  10. everyonesuksbutme - Apr 29, 2014 at 7:14 PM

So that’s what it sounds like when sharks choke! Isn’t that a Artist formally known as Prince song?

  11. csilojohnson - Apr 29, 2014 at 7:55 PM

Thanks Halford. Thats a big F U to most of us using the app.

  12. cybernetikghost - Apr 29, 2014 at 8:02 PM

Sharks probably won’t lose game 7; but I imagine that if they do, they will just blame the refs and “get ‘em next year” like they always do.

  13. rocket1988 - Apr 29, 2014 at 8:07 PM

Alright sjs 66, I’ll stop calling you names. But here’s a math problem for you. Player A is 31 yrs old and makes 3.25 Mil a year. Player B is 26 yrs old and makes a third of that. Which guy should play?

    • sjsharks66 - Apr 29, 2014 at 8:15 PM

Depends… Is Player A worth his contract? Seeing as how that is Greene’s contract and age, I would say no. The price is NOT BAD it’s actually pretty good. Trust me, I wish Boyle played for that much. Greene just misses too much time either from injury or healthy scratch. I say cut the losses. A team will pick him up.

If the 26 year old making less is better, then obviously that one. haha

      • nightfireop - Apr 29, 2014 at 9:08 PM

        A+

  14. rocket1988 - Apr 29, 2014 at 8:27 PM

Muzzin is player B and he’s on the ice for some very bad goals. Greenes been a healthy scratch because Suter thought he needed more offense out of the Dmen. Work the formula that’s proven effective in 12 & 13. Stay at home defense and let the forwards attack. Greene should play more, he’s the Alternate Captain after all.

  15. sjsharks66 - Apr 29, 2014 at 8:44 PM

Yeah, I love a good stay at home dman. Except the Kings are dangerous in this series with Muzzin playing. That’s mainly what I based my initial comment on. The Kings have a great system that works well. They have a very intelligent coach. If he feels Greene should be scratched, maybe just letting him go and opening that cap space is a better decision.

  16. sharksman - Apr 29, 2014 at 9:16 PM

if the sharks loose you have to fire tmac
from everything I have read he didn’t use the bad goal as a excuse
he just said “we got cheated” on that goal
as I said on previous posts that’s not what cost them the game
you have to overcome mistakes like that and not let it cost you a game
but you have to fire tmac if they loose
how many years can you give him not to take the team anywhere
and your not trading the big guys so there is no use saying to get rid of them
but bye bye havlet no matter what happens

    • paulerhythm - Apr 29, 2014 at 10:45 PM

TMac sealed his fate by starting Stalock over Niemi! He gambled and Stalock didn’t pull it out. Now, TMac has no choice but to put a back up in a must win pressure game 7! Tmac not only lose his job, he lost this series!

      • sharksman - Apr 30, 2014 at 12:06 PM

if they loose , for sure

  17. jason9696 - Apr 29, 2014 at 10:07 PM

If the Sharks lose? It’s more like “when” they lose.

  18. chitown26 - Apr 30, 2014 at 3:23 AM

Holy crap PHT, watching a 30 second SOCCER ad to get to this video.
