Video: Carcillo scores, gives it to Flyers fans

The Carbomb exploded late on Tuesday night.

Shortly after his hooking penalty expired midway through the third period of an eventual 4-1 win, Rangers forward Dan “Carbomb” Carcillo took a Brian Boyle feed and scored his first playoff goal in three years -- then celebrated in style:

The goal was likely sweet for Carcillo, who played in Philly for three seasons and scored his last playoff goal for the Flyers during the ’11 postseason. It also had to be sweet given 1) Carcillo was making his postseason debut for the Rangers, 2) he made amends for the aforementioned hooking penalty, and 3) scored an insurance marker following this clip from Philly’s Matt Read just a few minutes prior:

As mentioned, the Rangers finished with a 4-1 victory and took a 2-1 series lead as a result. Game 4 goes Friday at Wells Fargo -- think Carcillo dresses again?

Update: Not surprisingly, Carcillo had a few things to say in his postgame media availability...

#NYR Carcillo on being booed when he was down on ice after hit from Read: “Nothing surprises me about this city or the way the people act.”
