Tampa Bay will stick with goalie Lindback

Although Anders Lindback was pulled late in Friday’s 4-1 loss to Montreal, Tampa Bay has confirmed that he will get another shot tonight in Game 3 of the first round series.

With starting goaltender Ben Bishop hurt, the Lightning have turned to Lindback and the results haven’t been favorable. However, Tampa Bay’s alternative is 21-year-old Kristers Gudlevskis, who was great in the Olympics, but had just one game worth of NHL experience going into this series.

The Canadiens have a 2-0 series lead over Tampa Bay and Game 3 will be played in Montreal. That being said, Lindback isn’t solely responsible for the position the Lightning are in and it will likely take more than him bouncing back to dig Tampa Bay out of its hole.

Getting rookie forward Ondrej Palat back might provide them with a spark after he missed Game 2 with an injury. Palat feels good, but is still a game-time decision, according to NHL.com’s Arpon Basu.

Then they might as well forfeit and go golfing. Even stamkos can’t bail them out of this.

I might have to start celebrating 4/20 this year the way we have played this series

One thing I know for sure, with Lindback there is no chance. If they start the Latvian, who knows, these things might happen.
    1. He stands on his head
    2. He catches lightning in a bottle (pun?)
    3.We remember his name

Lindback has come up with BIG saves in this series but what’s the risk with Gudlevskis? We’re praying to win games and Lindback isn’t getting it done. I think Lindback has played well enough for us to win though, our defense has been playing poorly to allow so many good chances. DEFENSE needs to play well if we want to win. Look at the GWG in game 1, no D in front of the net, sure lindback needs an eye on the puck but you got an open man 12 feet from the net. I say we need a line change to spark offense.

They got used to having bishop behind them. You can’t give up many chances against lindback
