Video: Bryan Bickell goes knee-on-knee with Vladimir Sobotka

Apr 19, 2014, 6:11 PM EDT

Things started going awry for the Chicago Blackhawks late in the third period when Bryan Bickell was called for going knee-on-knee against St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Sobotka.

Bickell’s hit put Sobotka down on the ice for a few moments before he got up and headed to the bench. It was just 1:14 later that Brent Seabrook delivered a shot to the head of Blues captain David Backes and led to a five-minute major for charging and ultimately the tying goal with six seconds left by Vladimir Tarasenko.

While everyone will rightfully recall the Seabrook hit, it was Bickell who got the bad vibes started with his questionable hit on Sobotka.

Chicago paid BB $4 mil for 15 points? Really?

Another cheap and dirty play and player.

I hope the Blues destroy them badly…sweep them, embarrass them!

Go Blues! (And I’m not a Blues fan.)

I am not a Blues fan but I hope they humiliate the low life Black Hawks.

How are the hawks a low life team? Because of a couple of questionable hits? I think every team in the league would be a low life team then, right?

are you watching some of the other games, for instance on my Bruins, Lucic the tool spearing the guy in the ball sack, plus some of detriots guys doing the same thing only not getting caught, elbows high, stick slashes etc. The Hawks are a good team but like any team they have their moments and in the playoffs stupidity sometimes really comes out. The Blues are far from perfect either they have had their moments and their idiots doing stupid things also.

I dont like either team but the league will handle the idiots who are taking away from great playoff hockey.
