It’s hard to believe that the Philadelphia Flyers haven’t faced the New York Rangers in a playoff series since 1997 – when they made it all the way to the Stanley Cup Final before being trounced by the Detroit Red Wings – but it’s true. The two teams begin their first-round series with Game 1 on Thursday; coverage takes place on CNBC and via the live stream link below.

Flyers – Rangers kicks off approximately one hour before the Chicago Blackhawks begin their series against the St. Louis Blues. For that reason, you really might want to have one game on a “second screen” while the other goes on your TV. To organize such an idea, note that Blackhawks – Blues airs on NBCSN and can be streamed via this link.

Think Elmer closed up shop after last ranger goal

3-1 and the Flyers officially start with the cheap shots. Didn’t take long but that’s not really a surprise.

Should we expect anything different. These guys aren’t in the same league as 75 flyers as far as intimating. They think they are. Not even close

Oh look 50 seconds left and another dumb penalty. Thumbs down all you want but the Flyers are playing like children right now, with Giroux leading the way.

I didn’t think the flyers would win the series, but they’re playing like garbage. Reminds me of when the Devils played the rangers in the ECF. They killed us two of the first three games.

Did anyone see Rinaldo out on the ice. Switching between pirate game and hockey. Didn’t hear his name called. Just wondering

It’s the first game. Really doesn’t tell much. Coaches make adjustments and match ups.

i expected the flyers to lose the series and their discipline and while this comes nowhere close to losing them the series yet its almost funny how it played out. predictable funny.

    look whos talking now..

My god. The flyers are cheap shot artists. What are they accomplishing?? I hated them before the game. Hate them more now. I’m a true hockey fan and the flyers just embarrassed the NHL.

950003 is rooting for the flyers. And he should be…
