Sharks scratch Havlat in Game 1 against Kings

Apr 17, 2014, 10:47 PM EDT

The San Jose Sharks coaching staff has opted for grit over skill with one of their lineup decisions for Game 1 against the L.A. Kings.

Martin Havlat is a healthy scratch tonight. Mike Brown, who registered five points and 94 penalty minutes in 56 regular season games, is in the lineup in Havlat’s place.

Havlat had a hat trick and a four-point night in the second-to-last regular season game, which was against the Colorado Avalanche.

4th line has looked the best on the ice tonight. Get Havlat out of SJ. Nobody likes the china doll

Good idea to have Brownie in tonight for the physicality, but I liked Havlat against the ‘lanche the other night, even if it meant I had to get rid of a perfectly good hat!
