Video: Neal and Crosby team up for a beauty to get Penguins on the board

Apr 9, 2014, 9:26 PM EDT

It was a beauty at full speed.

Sidney Crosby set up James Neal to get the Pittsburgh Penguins on the board and back into a tie game with the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night. And what a goal, scored on the power play, it was.

Crosby entered into the offensive zone and dished a perfect saucer pass to Neal, who was speeding down the left side. Neal broke in alone, deked to the backhand and beat Jonas Gustavsson, who with just less six minutes remaining in the middle period, had faced only eight shots to that point.

The Red Wings regained the lead with 5:38 remaining in the second period.

Iam sorry but I dont see the big deal here,, the guy that deserves all the credit is at the start of the breakout in his own zone,, thats the play !

I saw that video before it got pulled. It’s a video compilation from back when Sid got in to the league during the last decade. The video featured such memorable things like the Atlanta Thrashers, the penguins jerseys with the triangle on the side, Versus, Fox Sports Net, and the Igloo. The only recent stuff from it was the Flyers series a couple of years ago, where everybody lost their cool, and was dubbed over by the Flyers announcers (who apparently dislike crosby. who knew?). People who like that video are just showing that they pay no attention to what is currently happening on the ice now.

People are seriously jealous they don’t have him on their team, leave him alone he’s the best player in the NHL!

These 2 showed last night how great they are. Who’s ready for the Pens to terrorize all the other jabroni teams in the playoffs??

Did Neal knee or did he elbow an opposing player to celebrate?
