Video: Demers sticks out the knee on Muzzin, sends the Kings’ blue liner flying

Apr 3, 2014, 11:48 PM EDT

San Jose Sharks defenseman Jason Demers was called for sticking out his knee to trip up L.A. Kings defenseman Jake Muzzin in the first period of Thursday’s game.

Muzzin, who was sent flying on the play as he had been gathering speed through the neutral zone before the trip, immediately got up and a scrum ensued. Demers was given only a minor penalty for tripping.

Sticks out the knee? Your sh**ting me PHT, right? Was unaware the back of the leg was the knee. Went for the hip check and stuck his leg out too far. FAR from a knee.

      Silence Sjsharks66 !

Tucker and PHT ‘know’ what they’re talking about and this ‘furtive’ attempt to injure by Demers was ‘filthier’ than a landfill full of garbage in Mogadishu ! … you know that and so do we. Nonetheless, we Kings have ‘strong’ knees and so your rat’s efforts were in complete vain. Now ‘on with the show’ as Ed Sullivan might have once said …

*sigh* sjshark66 w/ his teal glasses and blomfeld with his video-fetish….what a combination.

  3. kingsfan93 - Apr 4, 2014 at 2:07 AM

A better combination would be Hertl and Demers getting together about kneeing others.

    D. Brown is known for it too, but the Sharks have a thing going here.

at least old sharkie and blommer have something to say inviting rejoinder … i enjoy both immensely and find myself informed and laughing more often than not … with or without agreement

they’re both gamers and are worthy in every way

this in contrast to others, not including yourself necessarily, who find gratification roaming the pages with nothing to offer

i follow reddit where the nerds have at each other and there’s some pretty good crack … criticism prevails but wit and humour underpin most offerings … threads often require deeper understandings to find common ground so humour is the great lubricator in discussion

here you find excellent commentary and exchanges … the more common including the likes of bsaures and areaman714 are possessed of the collective intellect of snails but prove to be slower to the wit … their reading and comprehension skills are clearly limited

we suffer them gladly hoping some day they’ll clue in but …

Clearly a hip check gone bad.

Starting to realize these NBC bloggers (for the most part) are terrible. This must be their first ever hockey session for half of them.

Sticks out leg on a missed hip check. Back was to the player stupid not dirty.

I had quit posting and reading posts for quite some time. I return and can’t believe nothing has been done about that blomfeld clown.

It’s harder than you think to ban someone. Probably not worth the aggravation when most of us pretty much know and tune out his schtick anyway.

You’d think they would at least block embedding videos, but god forbid someone have to update the wordpress code. Pretty sure you can’t do that at PFT.

  9. sjsharks66 - Apr 4, 2014 at 10:02 AM

Usually Blom posts some good music. Other then that, you just have to tune him out. Just like you would a child. :)

      Wait wait wait….

You mean he’s NOT a child???

      • patthehockeyfan - Apr 4, 2014 at 11:18 AM

        I’m nobody’s child,
        I’m nobody’s child.
        Just like the flowers
        I’m growing wild.
        I got no mummy’s kisses
        I got no daddy’s smile.
        Nobody wants me,
        I’m nobody’s child.
