The Edmonton Oilers have come to terms with center Mark Arcobello on a one-year contract extension.

Arcobello, 25, has four goals and 14 assists in 41 games with the Oilers this season. The undersized forward also has 28 points in just 15 games with AHL Oklahoma City, where he’s currently playing.

Undrafted out of Yale, Arcobello was a pending unrestricted free agent.

No financial terms of the extension were released.

I really like this kid. He started out the season on fire, but when Gagner came back, they put Arcobello in the doghouse. Shame, he was the only one on the team who ever showed any heart. I really think he can be a consistent 50-point guy in a full NHL season with good minutes. Undersized, but plays with more passion than any of the Oilers forwards who have done nothing for them

Good player… Glad the Oil management don’t know what their doing..Johnny Gaudreau is another that is exciting that will lite them up too if the Flames give him a real shot
