Video: Vincent Lecavalier scores his 400th goal

Mar 30, 2014, 2:50 PM EDT

Vincent Lecavalier has been at this hockey thing for a while now, but today against the Boston Bruins, the Philadelphia Flyers forward hit a milestone by scoring his 400th career goal.

Lecavalier’s landmark goal came in the first period against Tuukka Rask when he let a slap shot rip from out high between the faceoff circles. Have a look at it with Doc Emrick’s call from NBC.

Wow, 400 goals is a lot. Not counting ball hockey, that’s roughly, um, oh, about 400 more than me. Still, for perspective, it’s 494 fewer than that 99 guy.

As a lightning fan, I hated to see Vinny leave Tampa but going to Philadelphia is better than seeing him in New York as a Ranger. I just hope if he and the Flyers face us in the playoffs, he forgets which goal he is to shoot at or at least has a bad series. :)
