Ducks send Etem back to AHL Norfolk

Mar 21, 2014, 9:28 PM EDT

Only yesterday, the Anaheim Ducks recalled speedy forward Emerson Etem from Norfolk in the American Hockey League. On Friday, they reassigned Etem back to the Admirals.

That certainly was a very quick stint back in the big leagues.

Etem, 21, is the Ducks’ first-round pick, 29th overall, from the 2010 NHL Draft. In 29 games with the Ducks this season, he has seven goals and 11 points.

“…he has seven goals and 11 points.”

Why do you guys always say “x goals AND y points?”

Just say they have x goals and y assists (for z points, if you feel the need). 7 goals and 11 points makes you think at first glance they have 18 points…

If you wanted to limit it to 2 stats, I think most people are interested in G and P. Assist fans can be left to do the simple subtraction. I dunno, I could see any combination, but don’t see anything wrong with that one.

      I think that’s why they sent him down . . . they weren’t sure how many assists he had . . .
