Video: Parise scores against Devils in New Jersey

Mar 20, 2014, 9:20 PM EDT

The New Jersey Devils might hang on to beat Zach Parise and the Minnesota Wild on Thursday, but their former franchise forward still made an impact while soaking in the boos in Newark.

Parise was thwarted on a great shorthanded chance by Cory Schneider earlier in the game, yet he still managed to score later on, notching his 24th tally of the season:

Update: the Devils got the last laugh, although they had to sweat it. The Wild charged back to push tonight’s game into OT, yet New Jersey won 4-3 in overtime.

Epic choke job by the Devils. Not all, but a certain few who wear the number 24. That loser deflected one goal in his own net, and screened his goalie one the game tying goal. That old basterd needs to just quit.

The Wild played like sh**. I ‘ll take the one pity point but damn.

Whatever Jagr is drinking, somebody bottle it. He and Salanne have found the fountain of youth and are not sharing.

Hopefully we can string a few together before the end of April.
