Acquired from Dallas prior to the deadline, veteran defenseman Stephane Robidas will make his Anaheim Ducks debut tonight at home to Washington.

“I think the main thing is [that] I’ve got to keep everything really simple,” Robidas said, per NHL.com. “It’s a new team for me. It’s the first time in a while, so there’s a lot of things going on for me [Tuesday]. But I’m very excited. I’ve been waiting for that moment for a long time. I’m a little nervous, but at the same time I’m excited, so it’s good.”

Adding to the butterflies might be the fact 37-year-old hasn’t played a game since Nov. 29, when he broke his leg against the Blackhawks. Prior to the injury, Robidas was averaging around 20 minutes a night for the Stars, with four goals and one assist in 24 games.

PS — still no word on Cam Fowler‘s health status. The young Anaheim d-man had an MRI on his leg today.

What great timing with Fowler going down.

Bob Murray is a GM that is just too “vanilla” . No real “moves” in his game reflects on his team .Inheriting Getz and Perrs is his best attribute . Andrew MacDonald, MattMoulson, Tomas Vanek, all kinds of enforcers … Yet he goes OLD and just coming off I R ( Yet I like Robidas’ game) Could have used Ray Whitney for the power play instead of trying to deal with Mike Gillis just weeks after we embarrassed his team 9-1.
