Video: Rask throws out the glove to deny Koivu

Mar 17, 2014, 9:36 PM EDT

Tuukka Rask is on his game again for the Boston Bruins.

Rask made a spectacular glove save off Minnesota Wild forward Mikko Koivu from in close toward the midway mark of the second period of Monday’s National Hockey League game.

Koivu went to the net on the give-and-go, and found himself one-on-one with Rask as he went to the backhand. But the Bruins’ netminder followed the play the whole way, then threw up the glove to make the save.

He’s the best in the world. Love watching him play, and he’s only getting better.

anybody want to argue against Rask being the best goalie in the league right now?

He is the best. D is right there to clear it out. B’s are rolling. What are all the people saying now about the Bruins young D? 4 lines rolling, D playing shut down hockey. Tuukka is the man.

Love Rask. Just wish he played on a team that didn’t have so many disrespectful thugs on it. It makes it incredibly hard to cheer for them with all of their bullies and not to mention their awful announcers and fans. Jack Edwards is a great representation of every bruin fan I’ve ever met. Just such an annoying team especially marchand and lucic. Lol can’t wait for them to make it to the SC finals and lose to any one of the western conference elite. Lol it was so much fun last year even tho I don’t like chicago much. It’s just impossible to ever get behind a team that has the likes of Shawn thornton and Brad the rat marchand. I’m not hating on them they are a fantastic team. JJust in this case their players are only good on the ice and terrible people in every other facet of their lives. Don’t care about downvotes. I know there are the majority of hockey fans who can recognize a dirty thuggish team when they see one. Lol peace.

Yea you can add Bergeron, Iginla, Krejci, Smith,Ericsson to the Thug list. Give me a break every team has a mule and an agitator and if you don’t your team prob is not very good

As we speak Shawn Thorton is doing the benefit “Cuts for a Cause” and is one of the most active sport figures in the community but if that’s your idea of being terrible at life than I question your existence

The Olympic break did wonders for this guy. He went in, seemingly shaken mentally, and has come back on fire.
