The Washington Capitals and their fans waited quite a while to see what propsect Evgeny Kuznetsov might have to offer. They didn’t need to sit through too many of his games to see what he can do once he finally jumped to North America, however.

As of this writing, the 21-year-old collected his first two assists at the NHL level as the Caps faced the Vancouver Canucks on Friday. His first was a secondary helper on an Alex Ovechkin goal, but his second was the most impressive, as he collected a primary assist with this beauty of a slap-pass to Tom Wilson:

At this rate, he may very well prove that he was worth the wait.

Update: Kuznetsov collected a third assist, giving him a point-per-game (despite all three helpers coming in the same contests) at the NHL level as Washington won 4-3.
