Video: Sabres’ Myers shakes off potential leg injury

Mar 9, 2014, 8:45 PM EDT

At the moment, it seems like Buffalo Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers shook off what looked like a tweaked ankle/injured foot or leg. He managed to come back during the second period despite this painful-looking moment from the opening frame:

It doesn’t appear that Myers is having any difficulty skating, but PHT will note if that changes. (As you probably know, hockey players have a tendency to play through pain and sometimes even injures.)

Kid could be something really special if he keeps progressing like he has been.

Not sure if it’s getting Tallinder back, giving him more responsibility…or Ted Nolan. But, something is working this year.

I think it would be a huge mistake to trade him…a top-4 of Pysyk-Myers and Zadorov-Ristolainen, with McCabe in the mix…makes a great blue-line of the future.
