Hmmmm, we got Chris Brown huh

    • thailer35 - Mar 5, 2014 at 10:46 AM

You could probably flip him to Calgary to help satisfy his need for “truculence” before he sobered up enough to realize he isn’t the singer Chris Brown.

      • thailer35 - Mar 5, 2014 at 10:47 AM

        He being Burke.

  2. penvik - Mar 5, 2014 at 10:06 AM

Kesler, Vanek, & Hemsky to Pitt. At least two of three c’mon Shero. Add Brodeur as a backup and visnovsky on defense. Day complete!!

    • withseidelinn - Mar 5, 2014 at 10:19 AM

Have you heard of a salary cap, sir?

      • jcmeyer10 - Mar 5, 2014 at 10:21 AM

I don’t think this would work on a video game, much less in real life.

    • caniac4ever - Mar 5, 2014 at 10:24 AM

Typical clueless bandwagon Pens fan. Waaaaaaaaayyyyy too many of them out there. I remember my first hockey game….

      • hockey412 - Mar 5, 2014 at 2:26 PM

        Classy comment, jackass.

    • freneticgarfieldfan - Mar 5, 2014 at 10:35 AM

let Pit get them all, and then epic fail like in last year’s playoff…

    • swenny19 - Mar 5, 2014 at 10:38 AM

Pretty sure he was being sarcastic for the most part guys…

  3. neilbarne - Mar 5, 2014 at 10:29 AM

as a Pens fan, my hope for the day is as follows:
Trade for Kessler, but don’t give up more than say Sutter, Dumolin or Samuelson, and a 1st rounder
And then maybe a 3rd or 4th line forward.
Penguins pick up Conacher off of waivers from the Senators (but I don’t think that will happen as someone else will get him).
or trade for Max Talbot and give up say Kobasew and a pick or something equivalent.

If can’t get Kessler, would rather have Matt Moulson. Don’t want Vanek or Hemsky. I don’t think they would fit in with the system.

    • jpelle82 - Mar 5, 2014 at 10:39 AM

just so you know kobasew just recently cleared waivers – no one even picked him up for free much less would trade anything for him. i really hope shero and the penguins take a big step back, a deep breath and make a simple offer for a brad boyes or a ryan smyth. maybe go for a grit guy like stewart. ruutu from carolina. i will blow my top if they sell their soul to land kesler, vanek, or moulson. i dont think the defense is CONSISTENTLY good enough to make it all the way this year so a move with those kind of ramifications for the future would be a travesty in my opinion.

  4. penvik - Mar 5, 2014 at 10:43 AM

I’ve been watching hockey for 35+ years, probably longer than most of you are old. The cap is no issue, lots of pens on IR. But I love the reaction from jealous fans, by the way you guys are getting old “Bandwagon fan” lololololol
Again it’s hilarious how jealous you fans are of the Penguins, the Flyers have the same issue, can’t stop thinking about the pens it’s hilarious

    • pahkthecah1387 - Mar 5, 2014 at 11:17 AM

35 years….. and you’re still this clueless. Damn man talk about time wasted, good luck getting all those guys but why stop there maybe trade for ovechkin, datsyuk & while your at it a coach who doesn’t poop his pants on hockeys biggest stages,

  5. pdmjr - Mar 5, 2014 at 10:57 AM

    Gaborik to LA KINGS

    • pahkthecah1387 - Mar 5, 2014 at 1:25 PM

Right on dude looks like you nailed this one.

  6. penvik - Mar 5, 2014 at 12:14 PM

Yes, Dan bylsma is a big part of Pitts failures. I agree.
Gain respect for Chris Phillips taking a massive pay cut to stay in OTT.

  7. penvik - Mar 5, 2014 at 1:05 PM

WOW, how boring is this trade deadline??!!!
Guess everyone’s happy with Chicago winning the cup again right on!!

  8. penvik - Mar 5, 2014 at 2:31 PM

Kesler to pittsburgh coming very soon boys. Very happy with marcel Goc!!
Throw in Camellari and were off

    • therooneyskilledwebster - Mar 5, 2014 at 10:05 PM

You’ve cornered the market on stupidity. No Bruins, Hawks or Kings fan is jealous of your nice little hockey team.

  9. letsgopens8771 - Mar 5, 2014 at 2:43 PM

Reports indicate that Minnesota has just acquired Matt Moulson for a 2nd and 3rd rounder and prospects! Congrats Wild fans! Your team appears to gearing up for a nice playoff run!

  10. imgoingtowichita - Mar 5, 2014 at 3:21 PM

    Vanek to Habs

    • letsgopens8771 - Mar 5, 2014 at 3:26 PM

For just a 2nd rounder and a prospect. Wow. Snow is a MORON. I heard they scratched Eller and I thought he would be part of this deal. That’s just too bad for NYI.

  11. penvik - Mar 5, 2014 at 3:25 PM

FIRE Ray Shero!!! Penguins won’t even beat Montreal in the playoffs. What a joke, this day was all about losing respect.
Marty StLouis, Vancouver management, and penguins management all pieces of dirt!!! Pathetic trade deadline.

    • letsgopens8771 - Mar 5, 2014 at 3:35 PM

Calm down. We’re gonna show that we got the depth and we don’t need to make headline grabbing moves to go deep in the playoffs and win it all. Giving up your future for Kesler is foolish. Vanek or Cammy might have looked good in Black and Gold but still, the Pens already have a roster with plenty of talent but a dummy for a coach. This trade deadline was much more interesting than last year and you can see why the GMs are making the moves they are making. Except Snow. The teams in contention for that wild card spot are Detroit, Washington, Columbus, and the Devils. All of those teams would lose to us in the Playoffs. The Devils would take us to a game 7 but lose. I think Goc is a good player and he can even play with Sid. To a naysayer like you, I say, “Hockey is a great sport. You should try watching it sometime.”

  12. pdmjr - Mar 5, 2014 at 3:25 PM

Kesler stays put Gillis couldn’t get owner approval to move him

  13. jerseybornfloridaliving - Mar 5, 2014 at 5:00 PM

Some deadlines the best move is to do nothing if there isn’t a good deal out there and seems Shero did that. More worried about defense and goaltending in playoffs after last year than picking up all these offensive players, remember we got Iginlia last year and wasn’t even worth bag of pucks in playoffs…

  14. csilojohnson - Mar 5, 2014 at 7:33 PM

i for one am very happy with the moves Shero made. he said from the jump he wasnt going to break the bank. he got two solid players without giving up much. the pens most glaring fault has been a lack of 3rd and 4th line production.
blasting people about thier hockey knowledge without displaying any of your own. says more about your insecurities then anothers ignorance. every successfull team in the history of sports has bandwagon fans. for anyone to say one team has more then the other is a foolish generalization.
still epic emotional breakdown on display if you read penviks first comment down through his last.
