In a move that’s going to lead to a lot of questions about the health of currently injured goalie Carey Price, the Montreal Canadiens have acquired Devan Dubnyk from the Nashville Predators for future considerations.

Dubnyk, of course, started the season in Edmonton, where he struggled badly before being traded to Nashville in January. The 27-year-old is a pending unrestricted free agent with an unenviable .891 save percentage this season.

The Preds will reportedly eat half of Dubnyk’s salary in the deal with the Habs. Remember, with Pekka Rinne healthy now, there’s no pressing need for Nashville to keep Dubnyk.
