Two games with the St. Louis Blues, and Ryan Miller, acquired Friday in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres, has two wins.

Miller, making his home debut for the Blues, turned away 15 of 17 shots faced Tuesday, and the team in front of him came back for a 4-2 win over the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning. The Blues also got a beautiful short-handed goal from T.J. Oshie to tie the game in the second period.

The Blues took over from there, scoring twice more in the third period for the win. There was considerable focus afterward, however, on Miller, considering the game he was playing in.

“He’s a terrific goalie. You can tell in practice he’s very sound, is composed. Nothing really rattles him,” said Alexander Steen, as per Lou Korac of NHL.com.

Oshie’s goal was sooo dirty. We hung Miller out to dry a couple times and it cost us. Luckily, the defense tightened up and the offense started capitalizing on opportunities, instead of missing the net. Blues are back to the team they were in the first half of the year- give up early leads, then storm back in the 2nd and 3rd… whatever, I’ll take it!

….and he didn’t fall down! Oshie’s good moves are so good that he even fools himself, leaving him sprawled on the ice. Obviously, he reigned it in a bit so that he could stay on his skates.

Meh, I’d still prefer that they didn’t spot teams two early goals first :p
