PHT’s Morning Skate takes a look around the world of hockey to see what’s happening and what we’ll be talking about around the NHL world and beyond.

It was bad enough that Chicago’s Corey Crawford didn’t get his special Stadium Series mask to wear thanks to it not showing up, but now his leg pads have been stolen as well. At least we know now that goalie equipment aren’t the “tools of ignorance” in hockey. (CSNChicago.com)

Editor’s Note: Pro Hockey Talk’s partner FanDuel is hosting a $1,200 Fantasy Hockey league for Tuesday night’s NHL games. It’s just $10 to join and first prize is $275. Starts Tuesday at 7pm ET. Here’s the FanDuel link.

Speaking of guys who may or may not be traded: What’s up with Martin St. Louis? (Tampa Tribune)

You can take Predators forward David Legwand off your trade wishlist – he’s not going anywhere. (The Tennessean)

Chicago’s Brandon Bollig took notice of the St. Louis Blues acquiring Ryan Miller and Steve Ott. (CSNChicago.com)

Capitals prospect and 2013 first-round pick Andre Burakovsky is having a big first season in Erie and GM George McPhee can’t help but rave about him. (NHL.com)

Speaking of Capitals prospects, the Evgeni Kuznetsov era may be about to begin:

Finally… Oh, Roberto Luongo – you’re just the best. Also, gross.

wish pens would sign cammalleri to put on sids wing.

Careful what you wish for! Cammy can’t skate well enough to keep up with Sid and Kunitz.

Agreed! What about St. Louis? I think he would do very well.

Did I miss something? You mean Lack, right?

Man! That was something I did not need to see.

No, that came from Luongo’s Twitter account. You’re going to want to follow him.

I actually noticed that… stain when I was watching the game (don’t ask how or why). What was with the blue around the waist of the Nucks’ pants? Did they just slip some kind of cover over their existing pants? Looked sloppy when the jersey came up.

Why did you notice it, jhaegs? (I’m kidding!)

I noticed it, too, while watching the game. Last thing I needed was to see it again this morning! One breakfast …… coming UP!

They just shells over their pants. Most, if not all, the teams do it for those one-off games.
