Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Justin Faulk suffered an upper-body injury and won’t return against the Anaheim Ducks, according to various sources including the OC Register’s Eric Stephens.

It’s unclear how serious Faulk’s issue may be.

The 21-year-old surprised some by making the U.S. men’s hockey team that eventually finished in fourth place at the 2014 Olympics. Faulk has 23 points in 61 games including Sunday’s contest.
