Video: Ducks’ Palmieri collides with Kings’ Quick

Jan 26, 2014, 1:03 AM EDT

Kyle Palmieri came together with Jonathan Quick early in the third period of Saturday’s outdoor game at Dodger Stadium. And the L.A. Kings goalie didn’t like it one bit.

Palmieri was charging hard to the net down the right wing when he was driven into Quick, the Kings’ goalie, in a crease collision. As players gathered in the corner, Quick skated over and got in the face of Palmieri, who was assessed a minor penalty for goalie interference on the play.

Just another part of the Southern California rivalry between these two teams. It was the Ducks that came away with the 3-0 victory on this historic night, in which 54,099 fans packed Dodger Stadium to take in this game.

Quick and Smith should hang out some time. Huge drama queens.

Quick has a tantrum every time someone not wearing a Kings jersey gets within ten feet of him. His hissy fits are pretty ridiculous. Remember the one after game 3 against the Sharks last year?

Especially for someone that crosschecks D men in the back as much as he can. He should be going after his own guy for pushing Palmieri into him…. or his whole team for not scoring goals. 😉

  2. lowenni - Jan 26, 2014 at 1:21 AM this the whole recap we’re getting for the game? I know it wasn’t the Winter Classic, but it was an outdoor game in California between two rivals…this whole article is about Kyle Palmiere, little disappointing but maybe I’m posting this too soon
