Video: Rick Nash’s hot streak continues

Jan 21, 2014, 8:43 PM EST

It remains to be seen if the New York Rangers’ winning ways will continue on Tuesday, but Rick Nash isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.

Much like he did against the Washington Capitals, Nash scored the first two goals of tonight’s game against the New York Islanders in the first period.

The first came 1:02 into the game:

About 10 minutes later, the 29-year-old scored his 16th tally of the season:

(Quite an outlet by Dan Girari there, by the way.)

Jeremy Roenick called Nash the hottest player in the league right now, and at minimum, he’s in the running. He has five goals (and counting?) in his last three games and managed to find the net nine times in nine games since Jan. 6.

Anyone else think it’s weird that Nash is on a tear at the same time as the Jackets?

The reason I put “laugh out loud’ (lol) is because I happen to know everything there is to know about everything in this sport. You sit here commenting like you know everything when you haven’t a clue. This is why I laugh at you peasants, and abbreviate it by saying l.o.l. because my time is precious and I need to get back to enjoying my beautiful Florida life. LOL.
