Video: Jets’ Peluso fights Coyotes’ Bissonnette

Jan 13, 2014, 10:22 PM EDT

The Winnipeg Jets already came into Monday’s game against the Phoenix Coyotes with a quick emotional lift.

They likely got another early in the second period when Anthony Peluso fought Paul Bissonnette of the Coyotes in a lengthy scrap, with the score 2-1 for the Jets.

The Jets wound up increasing that lead to three goals, on a night when Paul Maurice made his debut as Winnipeg’s new head coach – an announcement that followed the firing of Claude Noel.

Yeah, Biz fighting is fun and all, but this whole allowing five goals in three of our last five games. Time for management to start swinging the ax. I don’t know what the formula for success is here, but what we’ve got ain’t it.

As a Jet fan it was nice to see the other team frustrated. Changes coming in Phoenix?

Those jabs by Biz at the beginning of the fight are barely manlier than Alex Semin’s slaps
