Video: T.J. Oshie takes worst of collision with Taylor Hall

Jan 8, 2014, 12:42 AM EST

St. Louis Blues forward (and U.S. Olympian) T.J. Oshie attempted a hit on Edmonton Oilers winger (and Canadian Olympic team “snub”) Taylor Hall, but Oshie seemed to take the worst of that hit:

As you can see, that collision came late in Tuesday’s 5-2 win for the Blues against the Oilers, so it’s not too shocking that details regarding Oshie’s injury seem scarce. (You also probably notice that Hall seemed to skate off unscathed).

There were no penalties during that exchange. Keep your eyes peeled for injury updates, and in the meantime, enjoy inevitable jokes about Bobby Ryan getting excited.

Saad will play for USA as Oshie’s replacement before than Ryan.

I agree with everything except your use of the English language.

      No chance

Hope Osh is ok. He was walking to the locker room after they helped him off the ice, but who knows…

I guess sometimes that’s what you get for attempting to trip someone.

This is a completely ignorant statement. Yes, Oshie was trying to trip Hall with 1:30+ left in the game and leading by 2 goals. Hall made no attempt to get out of Oshie’s way or avoid the hit, and has a slight reputation for playing a little reckless, but yes, Oshie 100% wanted to trip him.

It had nothing to do with Hall. Just bad luck that Oshie turned right into him…

You’re an idiot. Really all that needs to be said…

Oshie is listed as day to day, per Coach Hitchcock. He may have dodged a bullet on this one!
