Chara to return to Bruins lineup against Islanders

Zdeno Chara will return to the Boston Bruins’ lineup on Tuesday against the New York Islanders, as per Joe Haggerty of

Chara, Boston’s towering defenseman and captain, did not play Saturday against the Ottawa Senators with an unspecified injury and had been listed as day-to-day.

The Bruins come into the game four points ahead of the Tampa Bay Lightning for top spot in the Atlantic Division, while the Islanders are at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division with 12 wins and 31 points.

There was more good news to come from the Bruins on the injury front.

Loui Eriksson (concussion) skated with his teammates yet again on Tuesday, as per Joe Haggerty, who also reported that Carl Soderberg also skated.

    Good news for the Islanders; they’ll have that familiar black & yellow pylon to skate around.

    If he’s such a pylon why didn’t your boy Pacioretty skate around him? Oh yeah, he did… right into the stanchion.

    Chara is the most overrated player in the league! The Islanders must be happy to see that he will play so they can skate right past him!
