With a huge group of friends and family on hand, Anaheim Ducks forward Kyle Palmieri scored the OT game-winner to beat the New Jersey Devils 3-2 Friday:

That clincher gave the Ducks their seventh consecutive win, and it was quite the charge for the 22-year-old, who grew up in Montvale, New Jersey.

“It was exciting,” Palmieri said of his game-winner. “It definitely added a little something to the game and the experience.”

The Ducks improved to 25-7-5 while the Devils fall to 14-15-7, seeing a two-game winning streak end. New Jersey also lost Damien Brunner to a lower-body injury, so it was a tough night for the Devils.
