Alex Ovechkin increased his league lead in goals on Saturday, scoring his 22nd of the season as the Washington Capitals defeated the Nashville Predators by a final score of 5-2.

Ovechkin ripped a slap shot from the point on a first-period power play. The puck just got through Predators’ goalie Marek Mazanec, giving the Capitals a two-goal lead.

Ovechkin now leads Alexander Steen of the St. Louis Blues by two goals.
