Dec 6, 2013, 1:02 AM EDT

Jeff Skinner recorded the hat trick and the Carolina Hurricanes recorded a 5-2 win on the road over the Nashville Predators on Thursday.

But the win came with a price.

According to the Raleigh News & Observer, a trio of Hurricanes players – Patrick Dwyer, Drayson Bowman and Mike Komisarek – all left the game in the third period due to injuries.

Bowman and Komisarek both suffered lower-body injuries, although there was no update given on the condition of any of the three following the game.

Skinner, 21, now has nine goals in 18 games this season.
