Colorado Avalanche forward Cody McLeod may need to keep an eye out when his team faces the Minnesota Wild in the second game of their home-and-home set tonight in Denver.

According to a league source, the NHL will not suspend McLeod for his hit from behind on Wild defenseman Jonas Brodin in last night’s game. McLeod was given a five-minute major for boarding and a game misconduct for his hit on the second-year blue liner during the second period of the 3-1 Avalanche win against the Wild.

McLeod was already suspended once this season for a hit from behind on Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall. He received a five-game ban for that play and after last night’s hit he could’ve been up for more. That will apparently not be the case now.

    Good call.

I don’t think the “wild” will have anyone in the line-up that McLeod will have to look out for tonight.

“Oh, I see what you did there. Your trolling was a bit unclear, but now I see that you are saying… Well, my hat is off to you sir! That is some of the most insightful and intelligent commentary I have seen.”

      You said it best, dildo.

        lol.

Make a point, other than “I’m butthurt because I don’t understand jokes”.

If anyone has a hair on their behind they will do it collectively as a team. That check would have been fine. It was the stick to the back of the head with that last shove which could have seriously injured Brodin.

He got a major and game misconduct. Right call. That hit was not cause for a fine or suspension. On to the next. AVs have the Wild’s number this year. Unfortunately, the Blues seem to have ours!
