Cody McLeod ejected for boarding Jonas Brodin

Nov 29, 2013, 6:57 PM EDT

Colorado Avalanche winger Cody McLeod said he doesn’t want to hurt anyone, but he made another questionable hit on Friday, as he was ejected for boarding Minnesota Wild defenseman Jonas Brodin.

Video of the hit will be added when it’s available, but in the meantime, CJ Fogler uploaded a GIF of the check:

McLeod, 29, already received a five-game suspension for boarding this season:

Brodin, 20, missed three contests with a cheekbone injury, so that’s on the list of concerns for the talented sophomore blueliner. McLeod received a 10-minute game misconduct and five-minute major penalty for boarding.

Update: Brodin was able to return to the contest on Friday.

Not even close to as bad as his first of the year. He put himself in an awkward position. No doubt the league will look at this one.

NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY checks baby jesus Brodin head first into the boards, and leaves with their life.

See who comes first to Brodin’s defense? This is exactly why we needed Rupp in the lineup.

Close game. I really thought we were going to get a goal there at the end. Guess we’ll have to get ’em tomorrow!

Cheap shot, I think the dirt bag might get a game suspension! The Wild better figure it out, because they could be the team for first to worst……………..
Come on Wild, let’s get it together
