Video: Crosby scores on perfect Malkin pass

Nov 13, 2013, 10:28 PM EST

This is just one of those plays made by two super stars in the game.

Pittsburgh Penguins’ captain Sidney Crosby scored on what was a perfect cross-ice pass from Evgeni Malkin in the second period of Wednesday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

As good as the finish was, the pass was spectacular, as Malkin caught both Flyers’ defenseman leaning ever-so-slightly away from their net and leaving Crosby open just enough for a scoring opportunity.

Like most star players do, Crosby made no mistake, re-directing the pass to the back of the net.

Lol this is what you have to say about this game? How bout how many times Crosby and Malkin ate ice, or schenn with 2 goals or emery standing on his head???

    • stakex - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:50 PM

This is NBC, the unofficially home of the Pittsburgh Penguins……. what do you expect?

  2. laxman1944 - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:40 PM

    Good Win

    • pens5829 - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:44 PM

All thanks to a cheap PP goal drawn by Fraud Giroux and his girlish wrists….

      • blackandorangeforlife - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:46 PM

Where did you say Malkin was?

      • broadstreetbeatdown - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:48 PM

Awwww poor baby want a lollipop?

      • phillyphanatic77 - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:50 PM

Yeah and Crosby wasn’t flopping all over the ice like usual… gimme a break. Your captain is the king of drawing of weak calls

      • flyersfan85 - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:52 PM

        Yawn…

Whats that..yes the Flyers did win…thanks for the great sportsmanship.

Make sure you have some tissues on the nightstand in case you feel the need to cry yourself to sleep.

And yes..our win last night was a fluke..as was tonights..as im sure every other one this year will be..

        Yes..yes..I know..1975..

      • hazlydose - Nov 13, 2013 at 11:00 PM

The first goal was set up by Simmonds actually working on the forecheck. Something the penguins couldn’t establish all night. Pens didn’t want it and were outworked. Philly deserved this one. They played how a team should play a tight hockey game.

      • pens5829 - Nov 14, 2013 at 4:09 PM

I’m not sure who embellishes more? Fraud Giroux or the fans that follow him? If anyone in the NHL should be wearing a skirt it’s Giroux. And you clowns that support him know it.

Enjoy your win last night. You’ll still end up on the golf course at the end of the regular season.

PS – Sid says see ya soon. He’ll be back home in his house (Wells Fargo) March 15th. Hopes you all come out to see him…

  3. broadstreetbeatdown - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:42 PM

    Here come the Flyers.

  4. sizzle299 - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:43 PM

    flyers own pens home ice

    • chanceoffleury - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:59 PM

Flyers own Fleury, specifically, on home ice. He’s like 2-8 in his last 10 games against the Flyers at home. It’s painful to deal with, really. Especially on nights like this where it’s not his fault.

      • broadstreetsbaddest88 - Nov 14, 2013 at 1:59 AM

Yeah Fleury played good and kept them in it. Letang needs to come to reality that he’s a defenseman and not a winger. I’ve never seen a defenseman up in the play like he does. It’s unreal that Bylsma lets him do that game in and game out. He’s always gettin caught outta position. It’s insane to think he almost won the Norris

    • pens5829 - Nov 14, 2013 at 4:10 PM

And Sid owns Wells Fargo. Stoopid comment.

  5. ibieiniid - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:44 PM

Lol… at least they match the NBC announcers, especially Doc. unbelievable they allow this sh** to air on National TV. go, mother f’ing Flyers.

  6. broadstreetbeatdown - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:47 PM

Crosby had a nice goal from Malkin but Schenn’s two goals were prettier. Especially the first from Simmonds’ perfect pass.

  7. chasemutley - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:47 PM

Somebody call the Waaa-mbulance; the Pens fans are here.

  8. c1md6 - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:49 PM

Really you wanna talk about cheap pps?! Crosby should’ve attached a broom to his ass because he could’ve swept the ice while he kept diving all over it.

  9. steelers88 - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:51 PM

Every goalie turns into Patrick Roy against the Penguins it’s annoying.

    • flyersfan85 - Nov 13, 2013 at 10:57 PM

Every team loves making the wonderpens look like crap as you guys are Bettmans babies and touted as the team to beat..year in and out..so..yeah..go figure

      • joey4id - Nov 13, 2013 at 11:11 PM

Oh! Stop whining Change your rhetoric.

This team is just a nightmare offensively. The Penguins have looked alarmingly mortal when down in a goal in third periods this season. What did the battle level of the Penguins look out there for you? I’d give it a solid 2.5 out of 10. Man never thought I’d see the day where Todd Haley runs a better offense than Dan Byslma.

  12. steelers88 - Nov 13, 2013 at 11:05 PM

Gotta give credit where credit is due the Flyers played a really good hockey game. They were really tight defensively and Ray Emery stood on his head. They outworked the Pens and they deserved to win the game.

    • joey4id - Nov 13, 2013 at 11:13 PM

A great defensive game… I don’t think so. If Emery stood on his head is because there were a lot of quality scoring chances, which don’t happen when a team plays a good defensive game.

I have to say this pass and goal is nicer but obviously got no attention because it didn’t involve Sid

Really Crosby Dives? That’s funny considering he’s never been called for diving unlike Giroux.

    • broadstreetbeatdown - Nov 13, 2013 at 11:41 PM

You do realize their are entire video libraries of crosby’s greatest dives, right? I’d post them for you to view but I don’t think there is enough bandwidth.

      • broadstreetsbaddest88 - Nov 14, 2013 at 2:07 AM

Hahaha can’t believe he just said that. That’s hilarious. I wonder if you honestly believe that or just backing up your golden boy. When the league was gonna start the new thing where they put a picture of known divers in every team locker to embarrass the player into not doin it anymore and said Crosby was the main reason they were gonna do it. Don’t believe me, look it up. And check out YouTube for the grand ole highlights. By far the biggest diver

  15. dontbsuchapuss - Nov 14, 2013 at 1:36 AM

It’s funny how a loss and Crosby still makes head lines. He is a talented player but not headline worthy when his team looses.
