Patrick Sharp, Patrick Kane lead Blackhawks over Stars

Nov 10, 2013, 12:12 AM EDT

Make it five wins in their last six games for the Chicago Blackhawks.

And it was the power of Patrick that helped propel them to a 5-2 victory over the Dallas Stars on Saturday.

Patrick Sharp recorded four assists, and Patrick Kane scored the game-winning goal (on the video clip below). The Blackhawks improved their record to 11-2-4, and are now tied with the Colorado Avalanche for the Central Division lead.

    Hawks are destroying teams again. GO HAWKS!
    Great to hear Go Hawks chants early and often tonite, it was a home game….

      Calm down. Let’s not get too excited…let’s just enjoy it :). Were still behind Colorado and they’ve got games in hand.

        While you’re absolutely right on the fact that it’s too early to get that excited, it’s not Colorado that I’d be concerned about. They’ll fall back to earth soon enough. StL, Ana, and LA are the teams we’ll be battling with when crunch time nears.

        Let’s worry about the teams ahead of us in the standings. Sure Colorado will fall back. But as of now. They’re in front. So shoot for them first.

      I don’t think a 3-2 game until the last minute is necessarily ‘destroying’ a team.. out goaltending, sure, but you didn’t destroy the stars at all. They out skated and out worked the hawks all game. The hawks just beat the stars’ biggest downfall, their defense, and their defense’s decisions. You sound like someone that just looked up the score after the game ;_;

        And that gets the Stars the same “L” or “OTL” the Hawks have gotten a few times this year thanks to the other goalie standing on head.

        It goes both ways.

    Its crazy to think the Hawks could have 5 defenseman in Sochi in February. Keith for sure. Seabrook some thought his play needed to pick up which I think he’s done. Oduya and Hjalmarsson are. Leddy is a possibility for the US. Was also moderately surprised Roszival has never played in the games for the Czech Republic, but I don’t think this is the year he makes it.

    from what i’ve seen, the hawks are looking dangerous again

    the trick is sustaining the flow in a full season, while staying healthy in a league that cherishes goonery over skill

    this is not a lockout shortened season with the weird scheduling dynamics this time around…always tough to repeat

  5. blackhawks2010 - Nov 10, 2013 at 11:19 AM

    The Hawks had 12 minutes in the box, shots were even, controlled the zone, controlled 5 on 5 play, won by 2 goals plus an empty netter. Yep, I say it was a convincing win….

    Somebody’s a little hurt the Stars were spanked at home and with a larger Chicago crowd than their own.
