Video: Datsyuk scores another magical goal

Nov 7, 2013, 10:30 PM EST

Reminder: Pavel Datsyuk is just ridiculously talented.

You probably didn’t forget, but just in case, he lobotomized another hopeless set of opponents (the latest set of victims being the Dallas Stars) on Thursday:

That gave the Detroit Red Wings a 3-2 lead, yet Cody Eakin scored late in the third to send it into OT, where Rich Peverley won it for the Stars.

So, if you’re asking “Can a team possibly lose while employing a human like Datsyuk?,” the answer is yes.

Datsyuk does it again, he’s having an awesome season so far!

Russian wizardry, made to order. That guy makes it fun to watch hockey. I mean, it’s always fun to watch hockey, but… Friggin’ DATSYUK, man.

Who’s the best player I’m the world.
Datsyuk or Crosby……………… or Giroux (oh wait)

    • c9castine - Nov 8, 2013 at 2:31 AM

crosby is the best player in the world but datsyuk may be the most talented

  4. muckleflugga - Nov 8, 2013 at 2:44 AM

crosby’s the most over-rated hockey player in the world certainly…

a fragile north south plug with speed that appeals to the unimaginative…take away the gretzky-like league protocol protecting his back and he’s just another in a long line of one dimensional goal machines

put him in a tough aggressive fast- paced game and he does the jarome, hey presto magic, he disappears

datsyuk lives in a universe the wannabees only dream about

I’ve been enjoying your posts, but this is one of the stupidest things I’ve ever read. Not sure who the best is, both are incredible, but this? Bah.

“Datysuk lives in a universe the wannabes only dream about”

      That’s awesome.

Play the man d guys. Wait! Where did he go? Seriously! Wouldn’t you all rather watch a highlight reel of Datsyuk over Don Cherry’s Rock’Em Sock’em Hockey films?

I was at this game, and while that goal was nice, Jamie Benn streaking around seemingly every member of Detroit’s team and sliding the puck under Howard’s left pad was, by far, more impressive than what Pavel did.

    • darksidecowboy - Nov 8, 2013 at 2:35 PM

      Plus the Stars won

  7. dallasstars9 - Nov 8, 2013 at 2:47 PM

No love for Benn’s goal that was better… The Stars get no love, but this team is on the rise… GO STARS!

  8. darksidecowboy - Nov 9, 2013 at 1:30 PM

Datsyuk is a hall of famer, but c’mon Wing fans you can’t deny that Jamie Benn is an up and coming star in this league. He split your D like Moses!

Datsyuk is unbeievable. Honestly, there’s not a player in the world with better dekes than Pavel Datsyuk, arguably the best Russian in Detroit’s history…
