The Colorado Avalanche had their six-game winning streak snapped Wednesday, and it appears they may also lose defenseman Ryan Wilson to injury.

Colorado’s head coach Patrick Roy told reporters afterward that Wilson hurt his back the Avs’ loss to the Nashville Predators. It sounds like there could be an update coming from the Avalanche on Thursday.

Wilson, 26, played just over five minutes of Wednesday’s game. He didn’t play another shift after the first period.

In 10 games this season, Wilson has four assists.

DO NOT play Tyson ‘Mistake per shift’ Barrie. Avs should do what they should have from the start of the season: play Stefan Elliot.

Neither Barrie or Siemens are on the roster. Where have you been? They will play Nick Holden or perhaps Hunwick. Hopefully Holden will get a shot as he has been patient while Guenin has played well.
