Moulson to play with Hodgson on Sabres’ top line

Matt Moulson

Mention all the goals Matt Moulson has scored the past few seasons and the name John Tavares is naturally going to come up.

After all, Moulson was in his mid-20s and still trying to prove he belonged in the NHL before hooking up with Tavares in 2009-10 for the first of three consecutive 30-or-more-goal seasons.

Now in Buffalo, the 29-year-old winger has the opportunity to prove he’s more than just a product of the 2009 first overall pick.

“Matt Moulson’s got a heck of a resume the last four years putting up major, major numbers,” said Buffalo forward Steve Ott, per NHL.com. “He’s definitely going to help this squad as well.”

Moulson is expected to join center Cody Hodgson on the Sabres’ top line tonight at home versus Dallas.
